First day of Five-days Management Development Program

The Department of Economics and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Hindu Kanya Mahavidyalaya is conducting five-days Management Development Program from 11th February 2025 to 18th February, 2025 sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India. The focus of the program is on digital marketing and the protection of intellectual property rights.
The first day of event was presided over by the college Principal, Dr. Poonam Mor. Dr. Priyanka Sahni, the in-charge of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship Cell, initiated the program by welcoming the Principal and all the speakers. She emphasized the program’s primary goal: to inspire self-employment among students in a country facing high youth unemployment. The intention was to motivate the participants to set up their own enterprises.
The first session featured Rachna Tripathi, Assistant Director of the MSME Branch in Bhiwani, as the key speaker. She discussed self-employment possibilities and shared success stories of prominent entrepreneurs such as Dhirubhai Ambani, Prem Ganapati, and Jyoti Nayak. Tripathi highlighted the importance of risk-taking in entrepreneurship and provided insights into the ZED Scheme, Udyam Registration, the Lean Scheme, and the Champions Portal. She also guided students on the registration process for the Udyam Portal and elaborated on the Stand Up India Scheme and Mudra schemes.
The second session was led by Mrs. Chetna, IEO of MSME Centre Jind, who focused on the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. She elaborated on the Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme and other initiatives available to entrepreneurs through the Haryana Government.
In the third session, Professor Sunil Phogat, Head of the Department of Economics and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind, addressed the participants. He elucidated the concept of entrepreneurship and innovation, noting that these processes involve generating new ideas and executing them to create successful businesses.
Dr. Ajmer Singh, Associate Professor of Management at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind, then conducted the fourth session. He discussed entrepreneurship and project planning, outlining the distinction between value creation and business models. Dr. Singh also provided insights into the essential skills needed for entrepreneurs and the challenges they may face, along with strategies to overcome these obstacles.
Throughout the program, 25 students were registered by the MSME, Government of India, with Kumari Surabhi and Kumari Preeti in attendance. The program concluded with Principal Dr. Poonam Mor expressing gratitude to all speakers and presenting them with gifts as tokens of appreciation.
