On the second day of the five-day Management Development Program, sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Government of India, the Department of Economics in conjunction with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell at Hindu Kanya Mahavidyalaya hosted very significant sessions on the theme of "Digital Marketing and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights."
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Priyanka Sahni, who serves as the coordinator for the Department of Economics and the Entrepreneurship Cell. She extended a warm welcome to the Principal, esteemed speakers, and participating students.
The first session featured Mr. Shiv Kumar, Director of Digital ORRA Company, Panchkula, as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, he expertly differentiated between traditional marketing and contemporary marketing strategies, elucidating the burgeoning relevance and necessity of modern marketing in today's dynamic landscape. He posited that entrepreneurs can effectively penetrate the market with their products via digital marketing methods, achieving this from the convenience of their homes and at minimal cost, thereby capitalizing on the innovative perspectives of the Indian youth actively engaged on social media platforms.
In the second session, Mr. Shiv Kumar provided practical insights into prominent social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. He facilitated a hands-on exercise wherein students engaged in an exercise to create a business marketing Facebook page, thereby gaining experiential learning in digital marketing tactics.
The third session was presented by Mr. Puneet Kumar, Business Development Manager at Digital ORRA Company, Panchkula. He addressed the participants on the topic of "Email Marketing: Connecting with Target Audiences via Email," wherein he articulated the significance of email marketing as a fundamental element of digital marketing. He emphasized its capacity to enable direct communication with thousands of potential customers simultaneously through email outreach.
In the fourth and final session, Mr. Puneet Kumar elaborated on the "E-commerce Framework." He provided a comprehensive overview of this software framework, which facilitates the creation of online retail platforms applicable across various e-commerce ventures. He underscored its essential role in promoting the growth of e-commerce enterprises.
It is noteworthy that 25 students from the college have been duly registered for this insightful five-day program, with sponsorship from the MSME, Government of India. Additionally, the teachers including Mrs. Kranti, Mrs. Shivani, Surbhi, and Preeti were present at the event. At the conclusion of the proceedings, the Principal extended heartfelt appreciation to all the speakers for their valuable contributions.
