One Day Workshop on Internships: Bridging the Gap between Education and the Workplace

On 17 February 2026, an important workshop on the topic of Internship was organized at Hindu Kanya Mahavidyalaya under the New Education Policy 2020. The objective of this workshop was to make students aware of practical learning, skill development, and employment-oriented opportunities.
The program was conducted by Internship Coordinator Dr. Upasana Garg. At the beginning of the program, Principal Dr. Poonam Mor addressed the students and stated that such workshops help students understand every aspect of internships. Thereafter, Program Convener Dr. Upasana Garg elaborated on the importance of internships. She explained that under the New Education Policy, internships have been made an integral part of education, enabling students to gain real workplace experience.
She informed the students about internship opportunities available in various fields such as industry, education, social organizations, and startups. She also highlighted that internships not only boost confidence but also help develop communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
During the workshop, students enthusiastically asked questions and gained information about the internship process, application procedures, and the importance of certificates. In the end, Dr. Upasana advised students to choose internships according to their areas of interest and take active steps toward building their careers.
On this occasion, Co-Convener Mrs. Rekha Saini, Dr. Geeta Gupta, Mrs. Anju, Kumari Vanshika, and Kumari Jyotika also extended their support. Approximately 150 students attended and benefited from the workshop.
