Two volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Hindu Kanya Mahavidyalaya successfully participated in a four-day training program on 'Leadership and Community Development,' organized by the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Regional Centre Chandigarh. The program was held from February 17th to 20th under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

A total of 20 female students from Haryana were selected for this prestigious training, including Khushi, a third-year B.A. student, and Neha, a second-year B.A. student from Hindu Kanya Mahavidyalaya. Both volunteers shared their experiences, stating that they gained valuable insights from the program and considered it an unforgettable experience.

Dr. Poonam Mor, the college principal, and Mrs. Kranti, the NSS Program Officer, congratulated the students on their achievement. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Poonam Mor encouraged the students, emphasizing the crucial role of such training programs in developing leadership skills, social responsibility, and a sense of community service among youth. She further added that these programs prepare students to become active and aware citizens in the future. She expressed confidence that more volunteers from the college would be eager to participate in similar programs in the future.
