Women cell has been working in the college since 1996-97. Its aim is to promote a better and balanced understanding of society and to empower women for equality. It addresses the grievances of girl students and several competitions are held regularly at various levels in the college premises to highlight their problems and to suggest solutions to them. A cordial environment is maintained in the cell so as to encourage the girl participants to get engaged in free, frank and friendly interaction between the coordinator and the students. Doctors and lawyers are invited to address students to sensitize them to various dangers to which they are prone to. It is working in co-ordination with voluntary organizations, N.S.S unit of the college and the legal cell.
